Few sports have a shorter career expectancy than American football. It’s an inherently violent game that puts every player’s health and future at risk from the opening kickoff to the sound of the final whistle.

For that reason, a player with star-caliber longevity is often more heralded than those in other sports.

To make it deep into an NFL career, one must blend impeccable skill and talent with a balanced blend of luck and durability. Unfortunately, not all of those players are rewarded by their teams.

Some will get big contracts, but their contributions fail to lead to what’s truly sought after: success. More specifically, championships.

The question is, which decorated NFL veterans are most deserving of a long-awaited Super Bowl run?
