Trading can be one of the most fun and exciting parts of playing fantasy football, but it can also be one of the scariest. It can be so hard to predict what the rest of the season will look like, and every fantasy owner is scared they’re going to trade away a player that will erupt for big numbers the next week, or trade for a player that is going to see a huge drop in production.

These trade targets will feature both players that you should try to trade for as well as players that you should try to trade away. Hopefully this will eliminate some of the guesswork from trading, and help you take advantage of your fantasy league with your superior football knowledge.

Players to Trade For

Players to trade for tend to be players who have not been performing well, but should improve in the coming weeks. These players may be currently underperforming, may have shown some signs of being on the verge of a breakout, or may have some great matchups coming up. You should try to snag these players before their owners realize what they’ve got.

Players to Trade Away

As you might expect, this is exactly the opposite of the players to trade for. These players tend to be ones who are outperforming their abilities, and will likely see a regression in their statistics soon. This may be due to a decline in usage, a lingering injury, poor matches, or any number of factors. These are players you should try to get rid of quickly, before your league-mates realize that their statistics are unsustainable.
