The New York Giants had a meltdown last week. It’s over, I’m over it and you should be too. After all, it’s week 2.

As I watched the Atlanta Falcons march down the field during the first half of Monday night’s game against the Eagles, it dawned on me: The Giants have to deal with this offense in six day’s time.

For this defense, it might be a long day as they try to contain Matt Ryan and company.

I’m a big believer that defense wins championships, and the Giants’ defense needs to show up in week 2.

The Falcons have an impressive, high-powered offense. Julio Jones, Roddy White and Leonard Hankerson might be one of the best trios in all of football, and they’re certainly hard to deal with.

Offensively, the Giants need to get into a rhythm and cut down on costly, costly mistakes.

Last year, these two teams met in week 5. It was a close, back-and-forth game that was ultimately won by the Giants. It was also the game that Odell Beckham Jr. recorded his first career touchdown, as well as the first time he and Victor Cruz were both active for a full game.
