The New England Patriots went into hostile territory on Sunday afternoon, and came away with an impressive 40-32 victory over their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills. Rex Ryan and his squad can talk all that they want, but the Patriots went in to their home stadium and smacked them in the mouth in front of their raucous crowd.

The Patriots entered this game as 1.5 point favorites, and with Ryan’s experience against the Patriots’ and the Bills’ incredible defensive unit, it was fair to wonder whether the Patriots could come out and beat the Bills. However, we saw more of the same as what we typically do as Tom Brady moved the ball down the field with relative ease, and the Patriots came away victorious.

When I originally sat down to put together this piece, I was looking for five stars from this game. That being said, it felt criminal to leave some of these players out. In the end, I cheated a bit and decided to go with six stars from the game, including a couple that include entire position groups. With such an impressive showing against clearly a strong opponent, it only seemed fitting to include more players than usual.

When it comes down to it, the Patriots are one of the best teams in the NFL, and they proved that against an extremely capable opponent on Sunday afternoon. Ryan and the Bills are going to be legitimate contenders in the AFC East, and the Patriots were able to handle them in a tough environment on the road.

Here are six stars from the Patriots 40-32 Week 2 victory over the Bills.
