The New York Giants are now 0-2 after falling to the Atlanta Falcons yesterday 24-20, and that loss was even worse than their last-gasp loss to the rival Dallas Cowboys in a primetime Week 1 matchup. Because in this loss, the Giants received an insane game from their best player, Odell Beckham Jr., and still could only muster 20 points on a defense that is improved, albeit still should have been exploited more often. For an example of why the Falcons defense isn’t a top unit, check out Beckham Jr.’s ridiculously easy 67-yard catch-and-run touchdown (prime examples of how to not play safety in the NFL on that one).

Look, the Giants can still do plenty of damage in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles also struggling to an 0-2 start with losses to similar teams, and that’s not even mentioning the fact that the Cowboys best players, Dez Bryant and Tony Romo, are out with serious injuries.

That said, the Giants need to be seriously worried about their chances of making the playoffs this year, and here are five things they should be worried about. Ultimately, it’s important to remember that both of these were narrow losses, so the Giants are obviously in the thick of the playoff race until further notice (here notice = losses).
