Terrelle Pryor took over at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in the red zone. He made it look like his Ohio State days, finding the end zone with his legs.

With Cody Kessler starting at quarterback due to injuries to both Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown, we heard some rumblings that the Cleveland Browns could future Terrelle Pryor at quarterback for some plays today.

Well, it happened. And Pryor made the most out of his opportunity to start the play from under center. No. 11 took the snap, kept the ball on the option, and ran to the left for an easy touchdown, showing his trademark speed to get around the defense and punch it in for six.

Pryor threw three passes from under center prior to his run, completing just one of them. But the one did go for a 26-yard gain. As expected, Pryor’s best asset at quarterback is his ability to run the football. He had a 15-yard run in addition to this three-yard touchdown scamper.

That said, Pryor looks like a better wide receiver than quarterback, even if you factor in this touchdown run. With six receptions on 11 targets for 95 yards, Pryor is the game’s leading receiver and he was been the Browns’ best playmaker on the field.

The Browns trailed 24-21 against the Miami Dolphins after the score, but they certainly weren’t out of it. Pryor was the biggest reason why the game was close. He is certainly making Ryan Tannehill and Jarvis Landry sweat out there.

Next: Opportunities From Coleman Injury

Wouldn’t it be crazy if the Browns won this game on one play and if that play came from Pryor making something happen at quarterback? Kessler has been fine at managing the game with 17-for-25 passing, 7.6 yards per attempt, and no interceptions, but maybe Hue Jackson will spice things up if the game is on the line.
