Following the Buffalo Bills shutting out the New England Patriots, Rex Ryan claims he has a mole inside the latter’s clubhouse

If there’s one game that Rex Ryan is in peak form for every single season, it’s facing the New England Patriots. That was the task at hand in Week 4 as Ryan’s Buffalo Bills made the trip to Foxboro. Considering the inconsistency of the Bills and the 3-0 record of the Patriots, though, it was shocking to see the Bills blank the home team, winning 16-0 on the day.

Needless to say Rex Ryan was feeling himself a bit after the game. He did his best Bill Belichick impersonation in the post-game press conference. However, he then dropped a little nugget that even he knew would get everyone buzzing.

The big story for the Patriots coming into Sunday was who would start at quarterback. No one really knew whether it would be Jimmy Garoppolo or Jacoby Brissett (or even Julian Edelman). It wound up being the rookie Brissett. The interesting part, though, is that Ryan claims that he was expecting that, saying that his “source inside the New England Patriot building” told him that was what would be happening:

That will indeed stir some things up, Rex.

You have to take something like this with a grain of salt considering that it’s coming from a perpetual troll like the Bills head coach. However, that would certainly be an interesting turn of events if he did indeed have a source in the Pats clubhouse. And if Belichick takes Ryan serious at all, you better believe a witch-hunt is already underway in Foxboro.
