Ezekiel Elliott Blows Through Bengals for 60-Yard Touchdown (Video)
Ezekiel Elliott made the Cincinnati Bengals look like they move in slow-motion as the Dallas Cowboys rookie broke off a 60-yard touchdown run
After the first two games of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, there were skeptics coming out regarding running back Ezekiel Elliott. In fairness, the rookie out of Ohio State looked to be pressing in Weeks 1 and 2. However, he followed those paltry performances by rushing for 140 and 138 yards, respectively, in the next two weeks. He’s looking to one-up himself in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, though.
Elliott started off the game by gashing the Bengals defense for big chunks of yardage. His efforts on the ground helped the Cowboys open up a big 21-0 lead going into halftime at home. That fantastic performance was only the prelude to what he had in store for the third quarter.
As Dallas looked to get their drive started while still in their own territory, Zeke decided to just end the drive on his own. The rookie broke through a massive hole in the line first. As the safeties tried to collapse on him, though, the blazing-fast rookie made them look like they were running through mud. Elliott blew right past them and all the way into the end zone for the 60-yard touchdown:

Everyone knew that Elliott could burn defenses with his speed. However, that doesn’t make it any less impressive when it’s on full display like with that run. The burst with which he hits the hole combined with the breakaway speed only confirms that he’s a dangerous weapon.
Many people blasted the Cowboys for addressing their offense with the No. 4 pick in the 2016 draft given their defensive needs. However, it’s looking like that decision is paying dividends. Early in the third quarter, that big touchdown run gave Elliott 10 carries for 128 yards and two scores.
