The Seattle Seahawks hold off the Atlanta Falcons for a 26-24 victory in front of their home crowd on Sunday

This game looked like it would be a runaway. The Seattle Seahawks played stifling defense and went into the half with a 17-3 lead over the Atlanta Falcons, who had been red hot coming into the game.

Then Atlanta woke up and made it a game. They reeled off 21 points in a row in the third quarter. Seattle then put on their rally caps and took the lead for good in the fourth quarter.

The Falcons did have one last try, but Seattle got away with an interference call as Matt Ryan tried to hit Julio Jones late.

Three Stars

Russell Wilson, Seattle — This guy is simply amazing. Wilson completed 25-of-37 passes for 270 yards. He played gritty and even had a block that allowed Christine Michael to avoid a huge loss on a run play at one point.

Christine Michael, Seattle — 18 rushes for 64 yards wasn’t spectacular, but Michael did get two touchdowns for the Seahawks. He has done very well filling in for an injured Thomas Rawls.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta — He was huge in their comeback attempt. Ryan has been on fire this season and threw another 335 yards and three touchdowns against one of the best defenses in recent memory.

Highlights

Next Game
