Raiders Lineman Donald Penn Catches Touchdown (Video)
Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Donald Penn caught a game-tying touchdown against the Buccaneers and Jack Del Rio remains trolling king of the NFL
If there’s one lesson that we should have taken away from the Oakland Raiders through the first seven weeks of the 2016 NFL season, it’s that head coach Jack Del Rio is not afraid to get ridiculously aggressive and troll you in the process. Apparently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t see that on the game film. And ultimately, Del Rio and offensive tackle Donald Penn made them pay for such a mistake.
Early in the third quarter, the Raiders trailed by a touchdown and were driving to try and get momentum on their side in the second half. When they got down on the one-yard line, the safe assumption would be that they’d hand the ball to their boulder of a running back in Latavius Murray. Instead, they used Murray as a decoy in play-action.
Quarterback Derek Carr then pulled the ball back and found his offensive tackle, former Bucs lineman Donald Penn, running wide-open in the front of the end zone. There truly is nothing like a Big Guy Touchdown:
How do you get the last laugh against your former team if you’re Donald Penn? Scoring a touchdown as an offensive lineman seems like as good of a way as any.
Let’s appreciate that route-running and hands for just a second, as well. The Raiders tackle is 6-5, 305 pounds (listed) and is 33 years old. Yet, he’s out here looking like he’s been a tight end playing tackle all along.
All hail Jack Del Rio, troll king of the NFL.
