Kristin Cavallari, wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, owned critics of her husband with one tweet after he picked up a big win in his return.

It feels like you haven’t been able to spend two seconds recently talking about the Chicago Bears without the topic of quarterback Jay Cutler coming up. Should he remain on the team longterm? Is he ever actually going to win anything? Where can I get a Smokin’ Jay t-shirt? You’ve heard all of these questions before. All of this made his return to the field from a thumb injury on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings all the more intriguing.

Despite being emphatic home-underdogs and overmatched on paper, Jay Cutler and the Bears put forth a masterful performance. Thanks to the quarterback’s best game of the season and the efforts of rookie running back Jordan Howard, the Bears picked up the monster upset on Halloween over the divisional foes.

Apparently Cutler’s wife, former reality TV star Kristin Cavallari, had heard the same criticisms of her husband that everyone else has in recent weeks (and over the years). So after the Bears quarterback picked up the big win, Cavallari wasted no time in delivering the ether to those critics and talking-heads that have been ceaselessly talking:

What a perfect way to respond to all of this. She obviously needed to get that off of her chest, but refrained from getting too inflammatory or anything of the sort. Cavallari kindly says “Eat it!” to all of the haters, adds a wacky emoji, and goes on her way.

Well done to her for the tweet—and to her husband for picking up the win in his return.
