Know when to watch, what channel to turn to and which games are on in your area with the NFL TV schedule and broadcast maps for Week 9

After all of the pleasant surprises, disappointments, confusion, and everything in between to start the 2016 NFL season, we’ve arrived at the relative midway point. Entering Week 9, there are still several teams that it’s hard to get a read on. However, the slate of matchups on deck for this Sunday should offer more answers and clarity in that regard. Being in tune with the NFL TV schedule so to not miss any of the action is as crucial as ever in Week 9.

There’s something for everyone this week. If you like a true underdog story, the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns have a treat for you. The former is the top team in the NFC right now while the Browns are still searching for their first win. At home in Cleveland, though, the Browns will be looking to pull the upset.

What’s more is that Week 9 will have a plethora of key matchups in divisions that also double as rivalry games. Games like the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens, and Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders all qualify in this regard.

Unfortunately, some of the teams that we need to get a read on have their bye and will be off in Week 9. Most notably, we’ll have to wait another week to see if we can figure out what exactly the Arizona Cardinals are this season. You could say the same about the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, and Cincinnati Bengals, too, all three also having the week off.

Even still, there’s action all throughout the day that you can’t miss. So you know when to catch these games, here’s a look at the Week 9 NFL TV schedule to keep it all straight:

Another great wrinkle of Week 9 is that we get a nice balance of early and late games in the afternoon on Sunday. That’s always a refreshing change of pace from an overload of 1 p.m. ET kickoffs.

That’s not all you need to watch, though. You also need to know, simply, which games will be on where you live. Subsequently, let’s take a look at the Week 9 NFL broadcast maps (via 506sports):

CBS Early

Key: Steelers at Ravens (Pink), Jets at Dolphins (Blue), Jaguars at Chiefs (Green), No Game, Local Game on FOX (Gray)

CBS Late

Key: Colts at Packers (Pink), Titans at Chargers (Blue), No Game, Local Game on FOX (Gray)

FOX Single

Key: Cowboys at Browns (Pink), Eagles at Giants (Blue), Lions at Vikings (Green), Panthers at Rams—Late (Yellow), Saints at 49ers—Late (Orange)

There’s nothing too particularly odd about the coverage maps for Week 9—at least no more than usual. Between CBS and FOX giving areas games that affect their nearest teams divisions or teams with local interest in players on given teams, it all works out.
