Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan knew better than to get involved in the brawl with the Denver Broncos, so he just took a seat.

With each passing week, the Tennessee Titans look like a more dangerous team. Unfortunately, Harry Douglas made them the wrong kind of dangerous in NFL Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. The veteran receiver took what most would consider to be a cheap shot at the knee of Denver cornerback Chris Harris Jr. Harris had to leave the game due to an injury from the hit, but that wasn’t the end of it.

Just a few plays later, Denver’s Aqib Talib set his sights on Douglas and essentially picked a fight with the wideout. That started a whole brawl that saw both teams essentially clear their benches and many players get into either a verbal or physical altercation. Not every player out there was involved, though, which Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan can attest to.

Lewan, who has been known to get himself caught up in bad situations that get him either 15-yard penalties or ejected, saw the fight and decided better than to get involved. To keep himself out of it then, Lewan removed himself from the commotion and sat out the braw—quite literally. Tennessee’s official Snapchat share a picture of the tackle just sitting down on the field to stay out of everything:

Though he looks like the NFL’s Steven Glansberg sitting alone by himself in the middle of the field, Lewan deserves some applause for removing himself from that situation.

Amidst the Titans’ success this season as they’re competing for the AFC South title, Lewan has been an integral component in what they do best. Tennessee has run the ball phenomenally all season in addition to keeping Marcus Mariota relatively clean. That doesn’t happen without Lewan, so he made the right choice in staying out of this one and keeping in the game to aid his team in picking up a huge win.
