Redskins Cheerleader Eats It After Accidental Kirk Cousins Hit (Video)

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins was tackled out of bounds, which sent him sliding into a violent collision with a cheerleader who then ate it.

Early on Monday Night Football, Washington Redskins defensive star Trent Murphy laid a questionably timed hit on Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton’s head—or so it appeared. However, no penalty was called on the play. Late in the fourth quarter, though, Kawann Short was flagged for hitting Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins late.

Even with these hits stealing all of the headlines, though, it was a hit that one of the Washington cheerleaders took that really had everyone talking late in the game.

With the latter hit from Short on Cousins, the issue that drew the flag was that the Panthers defensive beast hit the quarterback out of bounds. In doing so, though, Cousins lost his footing and control of his momentum on the sidelines. As a result, he kept going almost all the way to the wall. Along the way, he just so happened to make a path straight through one of the cheerleader’s legs. Unfortunately for her, she absolutely ate it as a result of having her legs taken out:

Sometimes saying that someone “ate it” is a bit cliched and, frankly, not all that applicable. But if you watch this cheerleader go down, that’s the only conclusion you can make.

She goes down face first into the sideline in the purest sense of the word. Luckily for her, the cameras cut back to her shortly after the play and she was up and smiling. That’s good for her, but the hit from Cousins and the unsightly meeting of the ground and her face will live forever.
