Bills Now Claim Marshawn Lynch Not Available, But He Should Be
Now that the draft has passed without any takers for the often-troubled running back, the Buffalo Bills are claiming that Marshawn Lynch was never really available. Apparently everything is great in western New York and there won’t be a single problem now that they have three running backs who will all want to start.
Fred Jackson, their first-round draft pick C.J. Spiller, and Lynch will all want carries like they’re the starter, but will like be a part of a three-headed monster type of attack that won’t allow that to happen.
Someone is going to get angry, blow things out of the water, and demand a trade. It certainly won’t be the rookie, and I’m not sure anyone even knows what Jackson’s voice sounds like, so that just leaves one guy.
The same guy who has been causing problems since day one, but is such a talent it’s hard to move him.
By the way, I mean Lynch.
The prospect of having a three-back attack sounds great on paper, but that doesn’t even work in Madden. Lynch is going to throw a hissy fit the first time a game comes and goes and he only wound up getting four or five carries because the team fell behind and started throwing.
But, by then it will be too late, the Bills will have hoped they traded him, and will have to move him for next-to-nothing (probably a fifth-round pick if history tells us anything) just so they can unload the trouble-maker.
The Bills don’t have many areas in which they could afford to part with any talent and grab some future draft picks to stock up on young guys, but with Lynch it’s almost become a necessity to move him. Or, at least, it will.
