The NFL Lockout appears to be coming to a conclusion — yes, we’ve heard that one before. Over the past few weeks, multiple reports have come out saying that a deal was close to be reached but the news of tomorrow’s players vote is the most promising.

The NFLPA executive committee is meeting tomorrow in Washington DC and they are expected to vote to ratify the proposed new collective bargaining agreement.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees passed along the news to his teammates that the new CBA is “expected” to be signed Monday.

"“Here is the latest. The Deal is almost done.  I am flying out to DC tonight to meet with our Executive Committee and De Smith tomorrow.  It is expected that we will approve the deal as well as our Board of Reps and Lead Plaintiffs and then have a press conference to announce that sometime during the day on Monday,” wrote Brees."

Brees also said in the email to his teammates that they can get physicals and report to the team’s hotel on Saturday, July 30 and the Saints training camp will open on July 31st with a 2pm meeting. According to Brees timeline, free agency should start Friday.

At this point in negotiations, it seems all but a certainty that the lockout will be lifted tomorrow.
