And then there were two… Now that I have wiped the tears from my eyes and awoken to find that my picks for the AFC and NFC championship were not correct and that there will not be a Harbaugh bowl, I must realize that the two best teams in football are prepping for the Super Bowl.
Let’s do a basic break down of these teams.
Let’s start with the Patriots: Now that Tom Brady has moved into his mansion he can get back to football. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL but his personal life outshines his football persona sometimes. He has made them men around him better for his football skills. He has the best tight-ends operating around him, currently. They are a force to be
reckoned with. The defense is spotty at best, but they come through when it matters the most.
This is a team that has seven players on the current New England Patriots team who played in Super Bowl XLII. I believe these boys smell blood and they want revenge.
Now the Giants: Eli Manning is no Payton but he is starting to carve out his place in this league. And that Victor Cruz kid, wow! Where did he come from? He is a blast of fresh air. The running game is starting to come together and it puts less pressure on Eli. This team has overcome injuries and has fought back to the top. The defense is one of the best this year. Jason Pierre-Paul is a beast! That is someone that New England will have to scheme against all day long. We have been counting this team out all season and here they are.
This team includes fifteen New York Giants players from Super Bowl XLII. They will be looking for more hardware.
