Is Eli Manning A Hall Of Famer?

facebooktwitterreddit

Eli Manning has plenty of years left in his career, but the discussion has already begun — is the younger Manning deserving of a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame? Let’s just start with the basics.

Manning is one of only five players in NFL history to have been named Super Bowl MVP twice. On top of that, Manning is 8-3 in his career as a starter during the postseason. He holds an even more impressive 2-0 record in Super Bowls. In his postseason career, Manning has thrown for 2,516 yards, 17 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.

At this point in his career, Eli’s postseason accolades already speak for themselves. It would be nice to add a NFL MVP to his trophy case, but he has already down more than enough to be considered a future Hall of Famer.

Look at it this way. Eli has already accomplished a lot and he has about another five years left in him, barring injury. If Eli can put up a modest 3,500 yards and 25 touchdowns a season, he will rank among the all-time greats in all of the important quarterback statistics. If Manning can do that, he will be a shoe in for the Hall of Fame.

What do you think? Is Eli Manning a future Hall of Famer? Sound off in the comments sections.
