Cordy Glenn Steals The Show In First Group Of Offensive Linemen

The offensive linemen were the first to take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine. While guys like Matt Kalil and Riley Reiff have nothing to worry about in terms of their draft stock, the underwear olympics will allow other lineman prospects to shine.

One of those guys who took advantage of the opportunity and showcased his athleticism was Georgia’s Cordy Glenn. Glenn stole the show in the first group of offensive linemen.

Not only are Glenn’s measurables impressive —  6-foot-5 3/4 and 345 pounds, with 35 3/4-inch arms — but Glenn also showcased his strength, by putting up 31 reps of 225-pounds on the bench press. It didn’t stop there for Glenn. He ran the 40-yard dash with unofficial times of  4.96 and 5.09 seconds. His ten-yard split — which is the most important for offensive linemen — was 1.77 seconds.

“His movement skills are kind of blowing me away,” NFL Network draft guru Mike Mayock said. “I did not expect him to come out and move around like a gazelle.”

Glenn was looked at as a guy who could play either tackle or guard in the NFL. With his movement, expect some team to take a leap of faith and select him as a left tackle in the first-round.
