The 2012 NFL Draft has one of the most impressive defensive linemen classes in recent memory. Guys like Michael Brockers, Devon Still and Dontari Poe could all be selected in the first fifteen picks. In total, five to seven defensive linemen could be drafted in the first-round.
Two of the defensive line prospects that I just mentioned completely blew away the scouts at the weigh-ins. Michael Brockers of LSU came in at a massive 6-foot-7, 322 pounds. If that size wasn’t enough, he has 35 inch arms. Brockers is just a freak and could have catapulted himself into top ten contention.
As for Dontari Poe, he showed that he truly is a prototypical nose tackle. Poe came in at 6-foot-4, 346 pounds with 32 inch arms. I can’t see a team like the Kansas City Chiefs passing up on a prospect like Poe.
