There is no doubt that Andrew Luck will be going to the Indianapolis Colts with the first-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Many believe that the St. Louis Rams will trade down to whichever team is willing to trade up to land Robert Griffin III. Which team will that be? That is were there is speculation.
Griffin blew away scouts, as expected, at the Scouting Combine today when he posted an unofficial 4.38 40- yard dash — 4.41 official — and performed well in the broad jump and vertical leap. After the workouts, RGIII interviewed with a handful of teams, which may have tipped their hat to the interest they have in the Baylor product.
RGIII interviewed with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. Could one of those teams be the one that makes a leap of faith to land Griffin?
The Browns have the best package to offer the Rams, so they would have to be the favorite to land Griffin. Then the Redskins and Dolphins would likely be in a close second place race, with the Chiefs bringing up the rear. Whatever happens, expect a lot of chatter in the weeks leading up to the draft. Someone will be trading up into the top three and it will likely be to select Robert Griffin III.
