Jaguars DT Terrance Knighton Injured Eye In Fight; Threatened To Shoot People

It came out a few weeks ago that Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton required emergency eye surgery after suffering an injury. There was no immediate word on what caused the injury, but now details are slowly starting to emerge.

Knighton allegedly was injured during an altercation at a night club. WOKV obtained a police report that stated Knighton and his friend “Spoon” were fighting with other men at Pure Night Club. Security eventually broke up the fight and then sent Knighton and Spoon outside.

This is where it starts to get bad for Knighton. According to the report, Knighton and Spoon allegedly made multiple threats to shoot people, while they were outside of the club before being moved off of the property.

There was no report of how Knighton suffered the exact injury, but there has been other reports that he was hit in the head with a vodka bottle during the altercation.

The involvement of shooting threats in the police report will not sit well with Commissioner Roger Goodell. The league will surely wait to see how this situation plays out and could open an investigation. The Jacksonville Jaguars have also issued a statement.

“We are aware of the incident report regarding Terrance Knighton. We hold all of our players to a high standard of behavior, as does the National Football League. We’re concerned about this matter, and it is being handled internally. We’ll have no further comment at this time.”

It is important to note that there are two sides to every story. Knighton’s agent Tony Fleming says that Knighton was trying to break up a fight and never made any threats.
