NFL And NFLPA Decide To Keep Pro Bowl Alive

While there were reports swirling earlier in the offseason that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may pull the plug on the NFL Pro Bowl, it appears that the players have found a way to get at least one more free trip to Hawaii for the annual all-star game. Somehow, the NFL and NFLPA have found a way to agree to keep the game alive.

Now that we know there will be another game, we need to hope that the two sides can find ways to make the game at least a bit entertaining and meaningful.

It’ll likely be hard to make the game meaningful, but it appears that NFLPA president Dominique Foxworth has had some good suggestions on the entertainment side of things. ProFootballTalk.com reported that Foxworth has discussed injecting a sort of fantasy point system into the game.

It will be interesting to see how the game is improved, but one thing is for sure, there better be a better on-field product or the plug will soon be pulled.
