Ayodele “Doesn’t Remember” Show Me The Money
By Chris Smith
Remi Ayodele has chosen to finally speak out about the infamous “show me the money” comment that is part of the NFL evidence against the New Orleans Saints in the Bountygate scandal.
Speaking through his agent, Ayodele insists that he doesn’t remember the incident. In an email agent Jordan Woy sent out was the following quote:
"“He doesn’t recall hearing the statement. It was made three years ago in the middle of a huge game.”"
While we could choose to take Ayodele at his word, this latest development will simply have the conspiracy theorists continuing to speculate that either the NFL’s evidence is fabricated and that there’s no such thing as bounties or that Hargrove is lying when he says he wasn’t the one who made the comment.
I wish to suggest something a little different – Remi Ayodele won’t say what happened because he knows that what he has knowledge of would simply reaffirm the NFL’s evidence. Let’s face it – if Ayodele said this as Hargrove claims due to having kncoked Brett Favre out of the NFC championship game, this would constitute an admission that there was indeed a bounty for hurting rival players.
Whatever the reason, there are no answers here. Time to look elsewhere for ways to either prove that bounties exist or prove the innocence of the suspended Saints.
