Marshawn Lynch Arrested For DUI Over The Weekend

The hits just keep on coming for NFL players. Late Monday night, news broke that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had been arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence. It looks like Lynch may have been getting a little creative at home and making himself some of that lovely Skittles vodka.

With that bit of news, Lynch has become the 28th NFL player to be arrested this offseason. The Seahawks released a very brief, generic statement on the incident:

"“We are aware of the situation with Marshawn and still gathering information.”"

The string of arrests will not sit well with Dictator Goodell and given Lynch’s past, I would expect him to be slapped with a two to four game suspension to start the season.

Lynch was finally rewarded for his impressive on the field play, but this most recent run in with the law will have to leave the Seahawks thinking twice about committing that money towards their running back. As it appears, teammate Golden Tate is already concerned about his teammate(s):

Hopefully with training camp just around the corner we can start focusing on more positive, on-the-field news. But with one week to go, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that no more players find themselves in trouble.
