Detroit Lions CB Aaron Berry Arrested In Harrisburg, PA … Again

It’s been a horrible offseason off-the-field for the Detroit Lions and it will continue. Rumors started to float around last night that cornerback Aaron Berry was once again in trouble with the law and those rumors have now been proven to be true. Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Berry was arrested on three counts of simple assault. A firearm was involved.

“Obviously, I’m limited in what I can provide because it’s a pending investigation,” Cpl. Gautsch said via a phone interview. “It looks like he was charged with three counts of simple assault and there was a firearm involved. Any other information would have to be disclosed by our press-release guy.”

Berry’s arrest becomes the seventh one for the Detroit Lions in seven months.

The rumors that initially surfaced involved Berry pointing a firearm from his car at a group of men in Harrisburg, PA — the same place he was arrested earlier this offseason. However, exact details of the arrest have not been made.

Berry was lined up to be a starting cornerback for the Lions this season, but he can likely kiss those hopes goodbye. With all of the arrests this offseason, the Lions need to put their foot down and make a stand. Berry will certainly be suspended by NFL Dictator Roger Goodell, so the team should act fast and cut ties with their troubled corner.
