Victor Cruz is one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the NFL and the New York Giants 2011 breakout star is on pace to have yet another incredible season. Through week seven of the NFL season, Cruz has 50 catches for 627 yards and seven touchdowns.

Despite his insane production, Cruz remains one of the most underpaid players in the league.
Cruz is set to make just $540,000 this season but the big play wideout won’t let any talk of his contract situation get in his head. In fact, Cruz is blocking it out and just doing what he does best — play football.
”I just kind of want to block it out,” Cruz said Monday in the Giants locker room, per Newsday. “I feel like if I start thinking about it, it will start consuming me, and I don’t want it to get that way. I just want to block it out and focus on football, and I think I’ve been doing a good job of that.”
While Cruz knows that he is severely underpaid — as does any reasonable NFL fan — it is nice to see Cruz keeping a level head and not letting the contract talks distract him like it has done to so many wide receivers before him.
For Cruz, his mantra appears to be “Keep Calm and Salsa On.”
