In a lacklustre first half, we are all tied up 6-6 between the Atlanta Falcons and the Dallas Cowboys at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Sunday Night Football.

The start of this game has seen very few plays that catch the eye and for the most part it has been more about the mistakes than the good points. Both sides have been guilty of badly dropped passes on offense with the Cowboys in particular having an issue with this on third down. It’s been a good night for the defenses as both teams have been able to get a significant impact from their defensive line causing it to be tough going in particular for the runners on each team with their stats combining for a mere 52 yards on 23 carries.

In injury news, late in the half the Cowboys had a big scare with nose tackle Jay Ratliff going off having appeared to twist the same ankle that had kept him sidelined for several weeks – a crucial injury that could be the difference between winning and losing in such a close game. Word is he will try to make it back.

The key to the second half – quarterback pressure and turnovers. The team that can win these two battles should come away with a win.
