The Miami Dolphins have been struggling over the past few weeks and much of the team’s issues can be directed towards the careless handling of the football by the offense. In the past two games against the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans, the Dolphins have turned the ball over seven times.
Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is unhappy with the team’s lack of ball security and has gone on the record saying that he is embarrassed by the team’s performance.
“I’m embarrassed,” Philbin said Friday, per the Palm Beach Post. “I’m the head coach. [Turnover margin] is one thing we preach all the time. That’s not good enough.
“Obviously we have to make some improvements quickly. I don’t know if there’s any one immediate fix that will solve everything but we have to go back to work starting today.”
The Dolphins looked to have turned the corner at the midway point of the season but their turnovers have become a major issue. If the Dolphins can’t get it together and protect the ball, the team and their fans could be in for a long end to the season.
