The highlight of the NFL season, Super Bowl XLVII will take place Sunday, February 3rd, in New Orleans, LA. The NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers will take on the AFC Champion Baltimore Ravens. The game is being aired on CBS and will kick off at 6:30 EST/ 5:30 CST.
The Super Bowl is being played inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome so weather is not a factor in this game. This is the 10th Super Bowl that has been hosted in New Orleans, and the first time the Super Bowl has been played in the Superdome since Hurricane Katrina.
It is the first time that two teams who have undefeated Super Bowl resumes will square off. The 49ers are 5-0, while the Ravens won their lone Super Bowl appearance.
This is the second time the 49ers have played a Super Bowl in New Orleans. Previously, they beat the Denver Broncos 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV.
Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, Steve Tasker and Solomon Wilcots are the CBS crew working the game.
Alicia Keys will sing the National Anthem, while Beyonce will perform at half time.
The San Francisco 49ers are favored by 4.5 points.
