Paul Kruger will remain in the AFC North, but not with the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. Instead he will be putting on a Cleveland Browns uniform for at least the next 5 years for $40 million.

He deserved the type of contract he got, so I myself as a fan wish him the best. Now with the Cleveland Browns, who showed some signs of life last season, they still have a long ways to go when it comes to being a contender, which includes taking the division from Kruger’s former team, the Baltimore Ravens.

A team full of young talent, could become a solid team if they continue to add the right pieces. Did I just say that? Really? Yes I truly believe if this team keeps doing what they are doing during the off-season and in the draft, they could be one of the best teams to come out of the AFC North. It just won’t happen over night, however.

Excited to see what Paul Kruger will do once the Cleveland Browns defense takes the field for the 2013 season. This is just the first piece to their new look puzzle, so I am sure they are far from done and will continue to make smart moves.

What they need to do is keep adding on defense early in the draft, then focus on their offense. Who else could they bring in on defense? Jarvis Jones. If they do draft Jones, this linebacker core for the Cleveland Browns will be one solid unit. More news should come out of Cleveland soon as the first day of free agency is nearly in the books.
