Wes Welker is done with the New England Patriots. He reportedly was insulted by their low offer and is unhappy with his diminishing role in their offense.
Also, we hear he is tired of Giselle yelling at him after games.
But nevertheless he seems to be headed to, or considering an offer at least, from Denver to team up with Tom Brady’s long time rival Peyton Manning.
That deal is getting closer to being signed according to Greg Bedard of Boston.com
If the Broncos sign Welker this a huge win for the Denver Broncos. That could make the Broncos the clear cut favorites in the AFC next season. It would be an upgrade from the even even older Brandon Stokley. Don’t forget the Broncos still have Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas.
I doubt the Patriots would be too worried. Danny Amendola is said to be waiting out the situation to sign with New England in the event that Welker leaves. The Patriots have faith in their system and view the majority of their players as products of the system.
