Manti Te’o promised to recover from his slow 40 yard dash times at the NFL Scouting Combine at his Pro Day. He did just that. And with that comes hope that his draft stock is climbing again. But despite apparently at least two invitations to attend the NFL Draft in NYC, he has chosen to stay at home.

Probably a wise move, there is little more pressure than having to sit their for hours, gracefully, as team after team passes on you. Ask Aaron Rodgers who was subjected to that.

There are rumors circulating that he won’t get out of the first round. Many had previously thought there was a chance he could slip into the second. But the Minnesota Vikings emerged as a potentially landing spot and they have two draft picks in the mid twenties.

Baltimore, who has the #31 pick, also could use a MLB to replace Ray Lewis. But unless he knows he will be a top 10 pick, he seems uninterested in attending.

"Unclear where Manti Te’o will watch the draft. It won’t be from NYC, I’m told. Belief was unless he’s a Top 10 pick, he wouldn’t be in NY— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 26, 2013"
