The Houston Texans have gotten better every year, and when Peyton Manning missed the entire 2011 season, due to injury, the division was theirs for the taking. While the Indinapolis Colts have essentially reloaded with Andrew Luck, the favorites in the division are still the Texans.
“We won another division championship, we won one playoff game, but we’re not satisfied,” Watt said in an interview with Andrew Siciliano on NFL Network. “Around here we have much higher expectations than that and going into this season, it’s Super Bowl. We have Super Bowl on our mind around here.”
He joins Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive coordinator Todd Haley as the most recent person to through their offseason hat in the Super Bowl ring. And what team shouldn’t be eyeing the Super Bowl in the offseason right? But it’s Super Bowl or bust for the Texans. Nothing else is an acceptable result.
“No. Every team in the league will tell you that, but that’s legitimately our expectation. We want to win a championship. We want to bring a championship to this city,” Watt said.
The Super Bowl is February 2, 2014.
