Ben Roethlisberger had minor surgery on his right knee, but it shouldn’t keep him out of training camp. Mike Tomlin expects to see him out on the field when training camp begins.

Big Ben is one of the toughest SOBs in the game and a little knee surgery won’t keep him off the field. I wonder if Ben scheduled the surgery on the day that the Baltimore Ravens met with the President on purpose. Nobody wants to see their rivals up at the white house shaking the President’s hand because they are now the World Champs.

Here is the statement from Mike Tomlin:

"Earlier today, Ben had minor surgery on his right knee that was the result of slight discomfort this offseason. We advised him to get the surgery done to ensure he will be completely healthy for the start of training camp. This surgery will have no long-term effects on his health. – Steelers.com"

He will be back dipping and diving defenders on the field in no time.
