Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray says he is ready for the 2013 NFL season. He has spent the majority of the off season rehabbing a hamstring injury and missed most of OTAs as a result.
“I definitely feel like I’m back to where I need to be,” Murray said, via Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com.
He has been more involved in the teams mini camp this week.
“I just need to continue to play hard,” he said. “I may not do all the work right and may get sloppy here and there, but I need to continue to make plays. Play hard and play free. I can’t go out there thinking too much.”
Former Denver Broncos running back and current free agent Willis McGahee has listed the Dallas Cowboys as a team he could play for in 2013. The Cowboys could bring in McGahee to help carry the load having parted ways with Felix Jones this off season. The Cowboys also drafted Joseph Randle out of Oklahoma State in the 5th round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
The Cowboys would be more inclined to give Randle a shot, but a veteran running back with “big name” appeal could be too much temptation for Jerry Jones to ignore.
