The Denver Broncos cut ties with veteran runningback Willis McGahee. McGahee was there starter for the last couple of seasons and helped the team get to the playoffs.
The Bronocos are trying to get younger and will trust Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball to take the ball and become their starter.
I don’t know if it is the time for the Broncos to go younger. They are built to win now and having a veteran like McGahee could have been useful in a playoff push.
It is just Peyton Manning though. He doesn’t need a running game. He will just toss the rock 5000 times and run a draw play every now and then to try and slow down the pass rush.
The Broncos will need the young running backs to step their game up.
There is still a ton of responsibility being the runningback standing next to Peyton. Protection. Still need to know all the million playcalls that are coming out of his mouth. Plus, they will have to take some pressure off of Peyton’s shoulders by running the ball a little bit.
