The England Patriots have released tight end Aaron Hernandez after his arrest by the police for his alleged role in the murder of one of his associates. We still do not know what he is being charged with, but Bill Belichick and the Patriots have seen enough.
As always with any major breaking news story, the hive mind of Twitter had plenty to say on the matter.
Let’s take a look at some of the best of the best.
So there you have it. It appears the majority of the Twitter verse is shocked at the news, especially considering he has not been proven innocent or guilty at this time.
Either way expect the Hernandez speculation on Twitter and in the world of the media to only get worse. There will be speculation on whether or not he is innocent, whether or not the league will suspend him, and of course, there will be articles asking if your favorite team should take a look at him now that he is a free agent.
Brace yourself for all of that.
Keep it locked here as we’ll have more official news about Hernandez when it happens.
