Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy announced that WR Jordy Nelson will miss the rest of training camp… for undergoing a “procedure.”
What the!??!?!
What kind of procedure needs to be done in the middle of training camp? Was he getting a face lift?
Sounds like another year of Jordy Nelson injuries. Is he getting new hamstrings put in? Is he getting the Adrian Peterson surgery so that he can come back and play out of this world? Bionic leg? OR maybe he is just getting the knee cleaned up?
Either way, Nelson is out for the rest of training camp recovering from another injury… unless it really is a face lift or botox. Not sure what that means for his status for week 1 of the season, but I am sure that he will need some time to get back into the mix.
UPDATE: I guess I could have waited a minute before I posted to find out that he had a knee surgery.
Jordy Nelson underwent knee surgery Monday. Expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks but doctors expect him to be ready for opener.

The belief on Jordy Nelson is he'll be back by the opener. Took a window now to deal with knee, rather than fight it all season.
