Eagles Having Tough Camp

The Philadelphia Eagles are having a tough camp due to the Jeremy Maclin’s ACL injury and the drama of wide receiver Riley Cooper’s racist comments.
It’s unfortunate that Maclin is out for the whole 2013, because Chip will most likely be trying to run some type of his old Oregon offense in the NFL, and he needed Maclin, along with DeSean Jackson, to be healthy for his system to be effective.
A possible replacement for Maclin, other than Cooper, was Arrelious Benn, but he also suffered a torn ACL in camp. The Eagles are running short on replacements, so the possibly unheard-of players are going to have step out their comfort zone and produce. It will be interesting to see who steps up to be the number two receiver.
The Eagles need all the help they can – their 2012 season wasn’t successful. Philly was a contender in 2010, but the 2010 Mike Vick is long distant. If that Vick would have stayed, they would be hard to beat. He needs find his 2010 mojo again, or Nick Foles could be named the starter.
Philadelphia has had one bad break after another in training camp, and the team just hopes that this doesn’t continue into the preseason and regular season.
