Power rankings again after our first preseason game. It is not like the preseason is going to make a lot of things move, but injuries will definitely make things shift around. There are some things you can get from the preseason though. Here are the latest power rankings:

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Still can’t move this offense off of the top spot. The defensive line could use some help, but all the top teams have a little something to work on.
  2. San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh is just a ridiculously great head coach and will get this team going. The secondary is a big time mess right now though.
  3. Denver Broncos: Still wondering who will play center for this team. They really have to get that thing figured out.
  4. Seattle Seahawks: The injury bug took Percy Harvin and the top spot away.
  5. Green Bay Packers: I can’t go against Aaron Rodgers, even if Jordy Nelson is sitting on the sideline again
  6. Houston Texans: They have a nice player in Deandre Hopkins on offense, but their starting left guard had his knee cleaned up and is out for some time.
  7. New England Patriots: This team is never a surprise. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are masterminds at this.
  8. Baltimore Ravens: Can’t place the Super Bowl champs any lower than this. Not until the regular season starts.
  9. Cincinnati Bengals: HBO Hard Knocks gets the hype machine rolling on this one.
  10. New York Giants: This team is always a mystery. Some seasons they pull it all together. This could be the season.
  11. Washington Redskins: RGIII says that he is 100% and that is all I need.
  12. Minnesota Vikings: All Day!!! Every day! All the time!! And he doesn’t take HGH!
  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: I like this teams defense and the head coach will get them to play hard. Vincent Jackson is a stud.
  14. Chicago Bears: When things are on Jay Cutler’s shoulders, it puts you in the middle of the pack.
  15. Indianapolis Colts: I don’t think too much of this team, but they made the playoffs last season. They get points for that.
  16. St Louis Rams: I like a lot of the talent that they have added onto the roster. Can’t wait to see Tavon Austin during the year.
  17. Dallas Cowboys: Brandon Moore chose to retire instead of playing for the team. Enough said.
  18. San Diego Chargers: Still being a homer on this pick, but it seems that the guys on NFL.com are starting to see this as a sleeper team also.
  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger will not go down fighting. Can’t ever count this team out.
  20. New Orleans Saints: Who is Drew Brees going to be throwing the football to? They just signed Patrick Crayton to help on offense?
  21. Arizona Cardinals: This team is getting better and the Honey Badger is getting into the starting lineup now.
  22. Miami Dolphins: Why are these guys getting rated so high? I like Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake on defense, but I still don’t like their offensive line.
  23. Detroit Lions: Keep throwing the ball to Calvin Johnson.
  24. Kansas City Chiefs: Alex Smith had a nice game in the preseason. If he can be solid, then he can get the football out to some of the team’s playmakers.
  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Chip Kelly has all kinds of things moving on this team. There is just a lot of change that this team needs to overcome.
  26. Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton has carried this team on his back before. Doesn’t look like he has enough around him right now.
  27. Tennessee Titans: Was that CJ2K?
  28. Cleveland Browns: The offense looked pretty good under Brandon Weeden. Now they will get Trent Richardson back for this preseason game.
  29. Buffalo Bills: I look forward to watching E.J. Manuel this season. It might be a struggle, but he can get the ball to C.J. Spiller all the time.
  30. New York Jets: This team is better with Geno Smith at quarterback and he still hasn’t taken the job.
  31. Oakland Raiders: Either the Raiders or the Jaguars hold the bottom spot. Is there anyone worse than the Jags?
  32. Jacksonville Jaguars: Suck for Clowney.
