Buffalo Bills rookie QB E.J. Manuel will miss the remainder of the preseason with a knee injury. That is definitely going to hurt his chances at winning the starting job with the team. Here is the statement from the Bills:

"“EJ Manuel had some swelling in his left knee this morning and was examined by our medical staff. An MRI revealed that he will need to have a minor knee procedure and that has been scheduled. He will miss the remainder of the preseason and then be re-evaluated at that time. Kevin Kolb will be our starting quarterback for this weekend’s game at Washington. Additionally, wide receiver Kevin Elliott has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.”"

Bills fans could be looking at Kevin Kolb as the starter at the beginning of the season. It has to be Kolb’s job to lose now. He will be getting all the reps in the preseason and will be getting all the reps with the first team.

It will be interesting to watch the QB competition in Buffalo now…. basically Kevin Kolb watch.
