The St. Louis Rams have named Daryl Richardson their starting running back.

"“From a starting standpoint, yeah, I think Daryl would probably take the first snap against Arizona,” Fisher said. – Pro Football talk"

Richardson was the front runner to win the job in the first place. He only took 4 snaps in the second preseason game, but it wasn’t because he fell from the good graces of the coaching staff. It was because the staff already knew what they had in Richardson.

Richardson was in a competition with Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy for the starting gig. The competition is all done now and if your fantasy leagues are going to start up, then you know which St. Louis Rams player to select. Isaiah Pead would be your handcuff for the position.

Richardson averaged 4.8 yards per carry as a rookie last year and showed the potential to be a really good back. He struggled a little with fumbles though and that will be something to watch. A person that fumbles the ball can’t fumble the ball from the bench.
