Jermichael Finley will face Redskins

The Green Bay Packers listed tight end Jermichael Finley probable for today’s game against the Washington Redskins, and he also stated that he still had some pain in his toe yesterday. However, Finley stated that he would be playing in today’s game, and the NFL Network’s Albert Breer has confirmed to us this morning that Jermichael Finley will indeed suit up against the Redskins. Per Breer, Finley’s toe injury is “fine” and that it was just “normal maintenance”.

Finley caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in a solid Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers, and he should have more success against the Redskins. He seems much more motivated than he was last year, and he should continue to be a productive member of the Packers offense.

Against the Redskins defense, I think we could see Finley put forth a monster effort. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hauls in seven passes for 85 yards and adds another touchdown reception to his season total.

Here’s what Finley told ESPN Milwaukee yesterday, “I feel great. The lights (are) on, right? I’ll be out there, for sure. It’s a tad bit painful. We’ve got 48 hours to play the game, so there’s a lot going to be done (until) then. I feel great. I’ve got a big pain tolerance. So I’ll be out there, I’ll be fine. I’ve been playing football forever. You get in the league, they try to make things bigger than it is. It’s a toe injury. I’ll be out there.”

So Breer has essentially confirmed Finley’s confirmation, and this toe injury is definitely something Jermichael Finley can play through and still have a big game with. Any predictions on his fantasy points total for this week?
