Sunday was a scary scene for San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd, who suffered a major hit in Philadelphia and was prone for several minutes before being taken off the field on a stretcher.
Michael Gehlken broke the news:
Players huddled around Floyd and said prayers during the process per Ashley Fox:
Officially a neck injury, the scary news is it was a legal hit by the Eagles defender as he led with his shoulder. Once at the hospital it was reported that Floyd had feeling in his arms and legs, and eventually it was revealed Floyd would be released and flying back to San Diego with the team:
Great news for all involved. San Diego obviously need Floyd back on the field as soon as possible to keep things rolling on the offensive side of things. More important than a trivial game is Floyd sounds like he’ll be back to 100 percent health and have no issues. We’ll have more updates as they happen.
