Hakeem Nicks Unhappy With Offense

So far the 2013 season hasn’t exactly been a good one for the New York Giants. After a week one loss in a shootout in Dallas, the Giants fell to the Denver Broncos in the “Manning Bowl”. The first two games showcased the major flaws that this Giants team possesses. The inability to run the football, block for Eli Manning and rush the passer are just some of the issues this team is currently being faced with.

Things seem to continue to get worse for New York after they suffered a ‘Giant’ loss yesterday to the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers, who have had their fair-share of problems, were able to get it together, defeating the Giants 38-0.

Giants Pro-Bowl receiver, Hakeem Nicks, who is not having a very good season by his means, expressed his disapproval of the Giants offense after yesterday game. “You’ve got to control what you can control. I can’t throw it to myself.” While it’s an understandable comment that is coming from frustration, the 5th year receiver has to be a little smarter with the comments that he makes.

Coach Tom Coughlin acted quickly on the matter, saying “I’ll talk to him. That’s not a smart thing to say.”

This could end up being a serious issue for New York. The team is clearly struggling on the field. The last thing this team needs is for a problem in the locker room. Coughlin has a huge hill to climb for the remainder of the season. With his job potentially on the line, he has to find a way to reach this team and turn things around, before it’s too late.
