Vincent Jackson undergoing several tests on ribs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wide receiver Vincent Jackson left yesterday’s loss against the New England Patriots in the second half with a rib injury, and Jackson did not return. He didn’t have his best game against the Patriots, as Aqib Talib looked sensational out there in coverage. Talib has all the talent, and he put it all together exceptionally well yesterday by holding down one of the game’s best receivers to just three receptions for 34 yards. The Patriots tabbed Talib as the guy to shadow Jackson all game, and the Pats top CB took his assignment on with pride, zeal, and terrific execution.
As for Vincent Jackson, his status for Week 4’s game against the Arizona Cardinals remains unclear. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Jackson “is undergoing a full battery of tests” this a.m., and the Buccaneers don’t know what his injury status is at this point. Watch closely for news regarding the tests Jackson is running through, because they will most likely decide whether or not Jackson is on track to play in Week 4.
It’s way too early to draw any injury predictions here, but Jackson’s injury looked significant enough to make us believe that he could very well miss Week 4. I think he’ll end up being a game-time decision, but that’s a shot in the dark from me as we wait for the results from the “full battery of tests”.
