C.J. Spiller, Stevie Johnson listed probable

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller was able to get in a full practice yesterday, and his recovery from last week’s quad injury has gone better than expected. While Spiller was always expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4, it’s great to see that Spiller has shown not even a glimpse of any ill-effects from last week’s beating against a tough New York Jets run defense. Fred Jackson did an excellent job after Spiller was out, and the Bills will hope both can have good games against another tough defense when they go up against the Ravens.

Spiller is currently listed as probable on the Bills injury report, and there isn’t a glimmer of doubt that he will be playing. He never missed a session of practice, and the Bills are much healthier on offense than they are on defense. The secondary remains banged up, and Leodis McKelvin will be a crucial game-time decision against Torrey Smith and the Ravens offense.

Bills star wide receiver Stevie Johnson is also listed probable on the injury report, but his listing is essentially a mere formality. There is no doubt that Johnson will be playing on Sunday, and he only missed Wednesday’s practice with a hamstring injury as a day of rest. So far this season, Johnson has caught 17 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
