C.J. Spiller listed questionable

Buffalo Bills star RB C.J. Spiller has officially been listed questionable on the team’s injury report, so fantasy owners will need to keep a close eye on his gameday status against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. Spiller is expected to play, but it still pays to be vigilant. After all, fantasy owners who weren’t vigilant were in for a shock when Calvin Johnson was listed inactive last week.

ESPN NFL Nation’s Mike Rodak also reports that nickel corner Ron Brooks has been ruled out, and star players Stevie Johnson and Stephon Gilmore will be critical game-time decisions against the Bengals. If Gilmore can’t play, then the Bills are going to be in huge trouble against A.J. Green. If Johnson can’t play, then that’s going to make life just that much more difficult for Thaddeus Lewis in his first game as the Bills starter with E.J. Manuel on the  shelf.

C.J. Spiller has, per head coach Doug Marrone, been progressing well, even if he is limping a little bit due to an ankle injury. Spiller hasn’t missed practice, therefore it would be a surprise to see him miss Sunday’s game. Last week’s Spiller-like performance against the Cleveland Browns was the first time he looked like himself all season, and hopefully it’s a sign of things to come. He ran for 86 yards with a touchdown on just eight carries against the Browns, and the Browns run defense sure ain’t shabby.
