The Houston Texans have had all kinds of issues at the quarterback position and it has been the biggest hurdle for the team to overcome this season. Matt Schuab has struggled with turnovers and there is nobody else to compete with him at the position. T.J. Yates is not going to take the team to the playoffs. If the team wants to get back into the race and compete, they need to bring in someone who can lead the offense.
Why not make a bold move and trade with the Washington Redskins for their backup quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins is stuck behind Robert Griffin III in Washington and has shown a lot of promise in the opportunities that he has had to play. Cousins would be the starter for the Texans and would be the future at the position.
Cousins has not seen a lot of action during his time in the league. He played in 3 games last season and started one. He has 466 passing yards with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in that time. He would be a nice player for the future and a possible answer for the problems this year.
Or the Texans can go after another quarterback like Kyle Orton or Rex Grossman if they do not believe in the talent of Cousins.
